Volunteer Coordinator and other full time staff to oversee the teen program, the
Discovery Guide Leaders. The Coordinator will help create a welcoming and
collaborative environment, prepare and assist in the delivery of youth leadership training, teach science content, and act as a mentor to teen participants.
You will work part-time for the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) as a valued team member of the Education Division at the Bronx Zoo and report to the Youth Development Coordinator. You will engage and supervise over one hundred staff and youth volunteers who are primarily between the ages of 14-24. You will develop these youth by helping them to learn and acquire job skills, to explore career opportunities, and to share the mission of the Wildlife Conservation Society with zoo visitors.

The Stanley Museum Docent oversees operations and maintenance at the Museum complex. The Museum Docent is responsible for daily operations at the Stanley Museum, including greeting the public, book and map sales, cleaning and maintenance of the building and the museum grounds, creating interpretive displays, and other media for delivering interpretive messages, and conducting interpretive talks at the museum.
Naturalists provide interpretive services, including Junior Ranger programs, nature walks, patio talks, discovery stations, and evening programs to visitors of all ages to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. They create interpretive displays and answer visitor questions from behind the desk at the Redfish Visitor Center. Fellows are expected to work 800 hours over approximately five months beginning in May, but actual start and end dates are somewhat flexible. Housing is not provided by the Virginia Aquarium. Fellows are fully responsible for fulfilling all requirements of their home institutions to receive academic credit.
