PUDDLESTOMPERS™ Nature Exploration's mission is to connect the youngest naturalists, ages 2- 9 (and their parents and caregivers) to the open spaces in their communities. Based in Newton, MA we serve the Greater Boston area through offering Child/Adult Classes, Drop-off Vacation Programs, Preschool Enrichments, School Programming for Grades K-2nd, and Weekly Summer Programs.
This is a part-time position for approximately 26 hours per week (Mon through Thurs, 8:00am-2:30pm) from September through mid-June, with potential for teaching hours in the Farm’s summer programs. The staff for the Forest Gnomes Waldkindergarten program consists of two teachers and one intern, and reports to the Assistant Director of the Farm.

The Youth Mountain Adventure Program (YMAP) is a project that supports youth organizations located in the Greater Boston area. The project mission is to promote positive youth development among youth ages 11-18 through multi-day wilderness adventures.
The Naturalist focuses on planning and leading programs that focus very strongly on natural history. Each week the Naturalist is responsible for running Nature Groups on a natural history topic as well as several Discovery Groups. This person works closely with the Lead Naturalist and assists the Program Manager in maintaining Wildwood’s gardens and Nature Center program supplies.

The Preschool Director is pivotal in making the New Canaan Nature Center's Preschool a leader as an innovative nature-based preschool program. The Director oversees and guides the Preschool Teachers to provide a clean, safe and healthy learning environment both in the classroom and out on the grounds. The Preschool Director will provide overall leadership and is responsible for the daily operations of the preschool, with enrollment of 100 plus students.
The Education Coordinator supports the Connecticut River Museum (CRM) in achieving its mission to lead in the study, preservation and celebration of the cultural and natural heritage of the Connecticut River and its valley. The Education Coordinator will develop, manage and implement education programs for a variety of audiences that will deepen visitor engagement in and exploration of the Museum.
