Supporting the education of young children (ages 3.5 - 5 years) at a nature-based preschool and kindergarten.

This position works with the Director of Education and the ECO (Educating Children Outdoors) staff on developing and implementing ECO in area public schools. The ECO staff help to continue NBNC’s mission by providing informative and experiential programs for schools participating in ECO here in central Vermont. ECO is a long term nature immersion program designed for public schools. Teachers and students learn outdoors every week for half to full days in the green spaces in their community.
We have an immediate opening for a Forest Preschool Teacher to join our education team at NBNC. The pay is $16 per hour. The position is part-time for 20 hours a week (not including holidays or school vacations). The start date is March 6, 2017 to the end of the calendar school year. This position has potential to be FT in the fall.
The Forest Preschool Teacher supports the Forest Preschool Director in facilitating child centered play and learning outdoors in a nature immersion program.
