The Environmental Education – Tribal Liaison Member will engage tribal youth in understanding the issues facing our local salmon, inspiring action, and fostering the next generation of environmental stewards through classroom lessons, recreational opportunities and field experiences.
This position will assist in delivering all programs of NREP and have lead responsibility for coordinating the Water Quality Monitoring Program, which serves 450 students with in-class and field-based experiences. This position also manages volunteer outreach, training, and events in partnership with other watershed organizations working on citizen science, monitoring, and environmental recovery projects. Occasional weekends and evenings required.
