About Our School:
Framingham Centre Nursery School is a nature focused, play base school. We provide a high quality preschool program which meets the needs of diverse families in the Framingham area. Our developmental curriculum encourages each child’s individual growth through socialization and hands-on experiences in a nurturing and safe environment.
Our philosophy is that children learn best through play. They flex their social/emotional muscles as they engage with their peers and teachers. We focus on giving children opportunities to practice conflict resolution, cooperation and empathy. We believe in the importance of providing children opportunities to explore and investigate the natural world around them. Each day we venture out into our expansive playground or wooded conservation land next to our school.
Required Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) Certifications:
- Teacher Preschool
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Minimum two (2) years experience as Preschool Teacher
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Work experience in a NAEYC facility is preferred
- Be prepared for outdoor activities on a daily basis
Love of nature and a passion for sharing it with children is a must!
Other Desired Skills:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Ability to be sufficiently mobile: bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, have the agility to move from a seated position to a standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations, perform all activities with children, i.e. jump, dance, walk, run, etc. for extended periods of time. Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor the environment and children's well-being.

- Possess excellent – written and verbal – communication skills
