Teach-ins were an important tool to mobilize citizens for first Earth Day in 1970. For the 50th anniversary in 2020, we are calling on educators around the world to host teach-ins on locally important environmental issues. Come get resources and ideas on how to integrate environmental education and civic action.
Funded by the World Bank Connect4Climate Program, Earth Day Network conducted an assessment of global environmental education programs formally embedded into primary and secondary education school systems. The theme for Earth Day 2019 is Protect Our Species. This Toolkit is a web-based, cross-disciplinary resource that includes a range of lesson plans and educational activities focused on the issue of Biodiversity.
