The Environmental Education Internship at Archbold Biological Station in Venus, Florida is designed with a focus on professional development through skill building, professional experiences, mentorship, and participation in education conferences.
The Be the Change! Challenge is a series of suggested environmental activities with accompanying resources, culminating in students completing a take-action project. Students who complete 4 activities are designated a Planet Hero with EarthX planting a tree in their honor.
The 2022 EarthX Eco-Art Competition challenges students to create a work of art that addresses the theme: Plant the Seed. Examples of how this theme can be interpreted include pollinators, reforestation, rain gardens, community gardens or more figuratively, taking action for any environmental solution. Artists should not be bound by these examples, and are encouraged to apply their own meaning to the theme.
In a month-long celebration of Earth Day, Earth Day Xpeditions offers teachers a variety of interactive environmental activities curated from our content partners for either virtual or in-person learning. Each PK-12 grade activity comes complete with online access to background information as well as an activity correlated to Next Gen Science Standards and the TEKS.

Archbold Biological Station, in Venus, FL, is hiring for an 11-month long environmental education internship. Responsibilities include: helping lead (virtual) elementary school programs, tabling community events, assisting with program evaluations, and animal care (snakes). The intern also develops, facilitates, and evaluates their own e-learning project. The intern receives mentoring and NAAEE conference registration.
