The Natural Areas Division of Louisville Parks and Recreation based at the 6,600-acre Jefferson Memorial Forest is seeking a MANAGER (Level 11) to oversee all environmental education and outdoor recreation programming within the Division.  

Position oversees a team consisting of 1 Recreation Supervisor (Level 9), three naturalists, a recreation coordinator, 5 AmeriCorps/VISTA members, seasonal employees and volunteers.

• Experience developing and managing outdoor experiential learning programming in both natural and urbanized settings. 
• Experience developing, enhancing, and managing revenue generating programming and facilities.
• Experience working with Americorps and VISTA members as well as volunteers in coordination with other managers and supervisors.
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and equity as it relates to community access to nature programming.
• Experience managing multi-partner and multi-sector partnerships.
• Strategic planning experience.
• Experience in securing resources (staffing and funding) to support operational needs.
• Experience in managing small capital projects valued between $10,000 and $100,000.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Three years of teaching, training, public information, press or community relations, or marketing experience
