Position Overview:
This permanent, full-time position works closely with the Youth Programs Director to fulfill the important goals of Walking Mountains Science Center’s Youth Programs department. This position requires an independent educator who is capable of developing and teaching science and garden curriculum for K-5 students while performing administrative duties and maintaining a garden and greenhouse. The Sowing Seeds Coordinator reports to the Youth Programs Director (YPD).
The Conference and Retreat Program Instructor serves a key role in teaching and hosting a wide variety of groups for retreats, field seminars, celebrations, and conferences at the Environmental Learning Center. The primary purpose of this role is to design and execute educational programming for conference and retreat groups; communicate program logistics to participants and ELC staff, and facilitate check-in, orientation, meals, and lodging for groups.
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, chemistry, natural science, or a related field and one year of related environmental experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.

Centre College seeks a Director of Sustainability to provide strategic direction to achieve targeted sustainability goals. Although the primary role will be to improve college operations, the director will also contribute to sustainability education through student academic experiences, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, and community outreach. The Director will report to the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Centre College and work collaboratively with constituencies across the college.
Spring 2020 Term (Mid-May through late August): This team of 4-5 Animal Husbandry Interns (AHIs)will train to manage the care, feeding and maintenance of various species of marine life that are in-house including marine invertebrates and estuarine invertebrates and live fish.
