Here's a new paper that explores nature-based placemaking and opportunities for outdoor recreation, education and leadership programs to support communities working to sustain or increase community vibrancy. This paper crosses boundaries among all age levels, nonformal and formal, etc. to consider how nature-based placemaking could provide a framework in which outdoor recreation, education and leadership programs are a planned and consciously implemented part of building community.
