Kresge Foundation: Climate Change, Health and Equity Initiative

One of the strategies of the Climate Change, Health & Equity initiative is Strengthening Community-Based Leadership of community-based advocates. Projects funded through the initiative will accelerate the adoption and implementation of climate mitigation, climate adaptation and climate resilience policies and programs at the local, regional and state levels. These 15 funded community-based nonprofit organizations are driving policy solutions aimed at improving climate resilience and equitably reducing health risks in low-income communities in America’s cities. Low-income communities and communities of color are disproportionately at risk due to existing social, economic, and health vulnerabilities that will only become worse with time. Learn more about these 15 partners and their work in the link below. How can EE be involved in shaping and sharing these policies with the people most at risk?
