On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the Santa Clarita Environmental Education Consortium will host its second annual Green STEM Summit. This unique event will help 270 high school and community college students find their green career path through four exciting and interactive activities: 1) a panel session featuring students and professionals sharing insights on landing that first green job; 2) a speed mentoring session led by a variety of environmental and sustainability professionals; 3) a university showcase of top west coast colleges offering environmental and sustainability programs and research; and 4) a science project poster competition. Volunteer participants represent organizations such as US EPA, Lockheed Martin, 3M, Disney, Gilead, Raytheon, CSU and UC schools, Arizona State, University of the Pacific. Looking for other programs like this to share best practices.
