Authors to use when creating a course on Wilderness

Thanks for sharing that list Jeanine. There are some articles on there I'd like to check out! A couple of my favorite wilderness writers are Sigurd Olsen and John Muir. A couple other favorites, more in the vein of natural history, are Gene Stratton-Porter and Aldo Leopold. They all provide beautifully rich descriptions of the land, and wax philosophical on the ways humans interact with it. Great fodder for reflection and discussion.
As far as sharing ideas not in line with our own, there is a terrific book by John McPhee called "Encounters with the Archdruid." McPhee writes in an engaging way about challenging conversations between David Brower (a strict conservationist) and others who seek to mine, dam, and develop.
I hope that helps!
