Want to go to the NAAEE conference in Puerto Rico? Interested in community engagement? Here's a scholarship opportunity for you.
As most of you know, we've been developing a new set of guidelines - Community Engagement: Guidelines for Excellence [they will be published by NAAEE within the next two weeks]. This set of guidelines points to steps for creating more inclusive working environments that support social equity, effective partnerships and coalitions, and long-term change.
We are holding a train-the-trainer workshop at the NAAEE conference in Puerto Rico, funded through our ee360 grant from EPA. And, we have limited scholarship funds.
This scholarship will support the participation of up to 25 educators to attend an all day workshop (Wednesday, October 18, 2017) designed to provide an overview of the guidelines and prepare participants to facilitate workshops, focusing on the guidelines.
The scholarship provides up to $600 towards the NAAEE conference and Community Engagement workshop registration fees.
