Advocating for families to spend time learning and connecting to nature

We are collaborating with KAEE to promote family EE learning and connecting with nature. We have the support of our Lt. Governor who is also the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet secretary. Here is the message we have been promoting:

COVID-19: Environmental education ideas while you're at home
Let’s get outside, Kentucky! You can flatten the curve while enjoying spring. Adults and children alike reap countless benefits (including reduced stress and anxiety) when they spend time outdoors, and students currently learning from their homes will likely learn even more when doing so outside. Looking for ideas and inspiration? The Kentucky Environmental Education Council and Kentucky Association for Environmental Education have numerous resources available to help parents, teachers, childcare providers, students, and organizations experience the outdoors in meaningful ways.
