Culturally-adaptive EE curriculum, UN Sustainable Development Goals

Ideas? I am working with STEM education leaders in a large culturally- and SES-diverse country who want to introduce GreenSTEM (project-based EE) curriculum that can be easily adaptable to their country's diverse ecosystems, traditions, and issues. Minimal supplies and internet available. Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-9. Project Learning Tree and the new Project Wild curricula come to mind-- some lessons are US-specific but could be adapted. The educators are also interested in K-12 curriculum that is connected to or aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thank you.

You may want to check out the Smithsonian Science for Global Goals project, which has freely available community research guides developed by the Smithsonian Science Education Center. These research guides use the SDGs as a framework to focus on sustainable actions that are student-defined, and available in multiple languages. The lessons are built on students creating an Identity Map and Defining the Problem, and ends with the development of an Action Plan. They can also be adapted for use depending on students' varying levels of technology access, and skill. Let us know what you think.
