Using Data

Hello,
Current (almost graduated) ASU education student here. I am wondering, for the educators out there, how do you use data in your day to day teaching? Are there particular data numbers that you pay more attention to than others? What other data do you look at beyond student achievement?
Thanks,
Sarah

Hello Sarah,

First, welcome to the Data Literacy Group, we're glad to you joined us!
It's interesting to see that your question focuses on the data that educators may USE to make decisions about their own lessons. Usually when I think about data literacy in an educational setting, my mind goes immediately to how educators TEACH students to collect / pay attention to / interpret data, about the importance for the students on relying on data themselves to make decisions.
I'm curious to see how other members related to this.
Thanks for the discussion thread!
