Cheat Sheet to DEI offerings at the 2018 annual conference

Good afternoon everyone!

I flew into Spokane ahead of the main conference so I could explore the city a bit and volunteer at the Research Symposium. Since this is my first NAAEE conference, as with any conference I’ve gone to for the first time, I’m a little overwhelmed reviewing the program—in a good way of course! I wanted to share the information that I’ve gathered that directly speaks to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).

If you get the chance, and have the capability, I would suggest downloading the Mobile App Crowd Compass https://naaee.org/conference or https://event.crowdcompass.com/naaee2018) so you can easily access the conference program. Within the App, you are able to search sessions by interest, type, and presenter. Below are the sessions that have be explicitly identified as speaking to Diversity and Inclusion. However, that doesn’t mean that other sessions don’t relate. Do you know of any other sessions that are related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion? Is anyone presenting at the conference this week that we should prioritize attending? What are you hoping to gain from attending the conference? How are you planning to contribute to the impact and success of the conference?

I look forward to seeing many of you in Spokane this week!
