Hello friends! As they say on TikTok, "Storytime!"
I’ll never forget the blood-curdling scream. Looking down at the ground, I realized I had very nearly stepped on a well-camouflaged phalarope chick. It immediately took off into the Carex sedge forest, but I was swarmed by sandpipers, plovers, and phalaropes, one of which I’m sure was the father. I escaped the feathery barrage, astonished that so many shorebird species came to the rescue.
That was years ago, but I’ll always remember the shorebirds that flocked together, which is why I'm asking you to submit a proposal for NAAEE's 50th Annual Conference and 18th Annual Research Symposium!
I know, I know, that was random. But have you ever wanted to share your story or communicate your work's successes with an audience who has your back? NAAEE's Annual Conference and Research Symposium is the place.
The deadline to submit is this Friday, May 7th! Please share your questions/ideas/advice on proposal writing below, and Happy (upcoming) World Migratory Bird Day!
