Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Education Specialist – Formal Programs supports the TZMI Education Department in the Reserved Programs Division.  Main duties include coordinating and teaching school programs, library programs, off-site programming, and teacher development.  Other duties include teaching informal programs for camps and classes as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications:

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree in education, biology, zoology, environmental science, or a related field, plus one to three years of related experience working in an interpretive education setting.  Familiarity with a variety of teaching methods and knowledge of age-appropriate cognitive and physical abilities required.
