The Denver Public Schools’ Balarat Outdoor Education program (balarat.dpsk12.org) is seeking a part-time, paraprofessional educator who will work as a naturalist/instructional leader for fifth grade students who are in residence at the outdoor center.

Paraprofessionals provide direct instruction for fifth graders, supervise high school leaders, and work in concert with fellow Balarat staff and classroom teachers in an effort to deliver 2-day/1-night and/or 3-day/2-night outdoor learning opportunities. Programs are facilitated at the Outdoor Center northwest of Boulder.

With the exception of school holidays, paraprofessional/naturalists work an average of 30+ hours/week throughout the school year.
