Project Learning Tree and GreenSchools Alliance Host New Networking Forum for Green Schools

I am excited to announce that Project Learning Tree (PLT) GreenSchools and Green Schools Alliance (GSA) will be the moderators for eePRO Green Schools, a new special interest group for members of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). eePRO is NAAEE’s new hub for EE professional development, highlighting news from the field, learning opportunities, resources, jobs, events, and research. eePRO will be introduced at NAAEE’s Annual Conference in San Diego, October 15-18, 2015.

eePRO will feature 15 groups, including eePRO GreenSchools, that were assembled based on feedback from NAAEE members and supporters. At the conference, seven of these eePro groups will hold brown bag lunch meetings on Saturday, October 17th from 1-2 pm to introduce group members to the site and transition NAAEE from the special interest groups of the past to the new eePro groups.  Arlae Castellanos, GSA’s Director of Memberships, and I will be the eePRO Green Schools Moderators. We will highlight and explore innovative ways that this hub can be used to help local and national Green School programs share best practices and real world examples. It will allow us to network and provide peer mentoring and cutting edge resources.

Collectively, PLT and GSA engage over 12,000 schools nationally.  We look forward to sharing the expertise that we have learned from over 15 years of collective experience being at the forefront of the Green Schools movement.
