The Crest at Willow-Witt

The Crest is an educational non-profit based at Willow-Witt Ranch, a beautiful 445-acre property in the mountains of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument east of Ashland, Oregon. Through self-guided tours, public events, school programs, and summer camps, we help visitors of all ages explore their roles and responsibilities in our dynamic local ecosystems.

Join the team at The Crest and lead groups of 10-15 kids in outdoor camp activities for 1 week sessions. Activities will include games, crafts, hikes, basic science investigations, farm tasks, and habitat restoration projects. Work with an assistant instructor and a few volunteers to provide a high-quality camp experience in a safe and fun environment. 

Campers will range in age from 6-12, grouped in ages 6-8 and 9-12. Instructors will be expected to maintain positive relationships with parents, farm staff and farm accommodation guests while leading the camp programs. Instructors will also be expected to enforce COVID guidelines and social distancing throughout the day.

Five to ten week long positions are available, starting June 19, 2021. Come experience Willow-Witt Ranch and help share its magic with kids from the Rogue Valley!

Hours and Compensation

• $25 an hour, 35 hours per week.
• Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Training

• 1 day of training, 5 hours, $25 per hour

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certified
• Experience with K-12 education, environmental education preferred
• Group management and leadership skills
• Enthusiasm for outdoor education and camp experiences
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and adapt to necessary schedule changes
