Overview:

Eco-Week is an environmental education program offered to 5th and 6th grade students. These positions provide class instruction and daily oversight for the program, lead campfire and evening activities, help coordinate logistics with teachers, facilitate ropes course and adventure components, and guide day hikes. A strong passion for outdoor activities and environmental education, and previous experience working with youth in the outdoors is strongly recommended. This position starts in Mid-August and finishes in Mid-October.

Essential Job Functions: 

  1. Provide instruction and daily oversight for Eco-Week Program attendees
  2. Instruct pre-written environmental lessons
  3. Lead evening programs and campfire activities
  4. Facilitate Challenge Course
  5. Guide day hikes

  1. Full time live-in position in a remote mountain valley at 9,000 ft.
  2. Benefits: approx. $2000/month plus room and board
  3. Other seasonal positions also available May-Aug/October
