Empower Students to Apply for Grants & Improve Your School
Re-imagine your campus as a laboratory for applied sustainability education! Explore how EcoRise curriculum, resources, and grant funds can be used to increase student engagement and cultivate eco-literacy and student innovation on your campus. This hands-on training will provide a deep dive into our curriculum and Eco-Audit Grant resources and will allow you to explore and experience the resources that are most relevant to you.
Schedule*
Snacks, coffee and tea provided
9:00-11:30am: Explore our Sustainable Intelligence Curriculum through hands-on activities and dedicated planning time so that you can find lessons that align with your own scope and sequence.
11:30-1:00pm: Lunch: Bring your own lunch or enjoy eating out at one of the many great restaurants near USGBC.
1:00-3:00pm: Dive into learning how to apply for an Eco-Audit Grant and explore our Design Studio Curriculum that is full of easy-to-implement design activities that you can use with your own students to empower them to design impactful solutions to sustainability challenges. We will present examples of successful student grant projects and tips on how to make the grant process a great experience.
*EcoRise teacher trainings are open to new and experienced EcoRise teachers across the country. If you are not already an EcoRise teacher, please enroll at ecorise.org/enroll.
