Help bring children back OUTSIDE to save humanities connection to nature - back from the brink of extinction by supporting community screenings of NaturePlay film.
This is such an urgent message right now because we are in turmoil in our violent society and in conflict in our relationships with every other species on this earth. Why is that? We treat the symptoms but not the cause. If we have sensitivities in the way we raise our children and treat them with humanity, then all the pieces will fall into place. Empathy breeds empathy – towards each other and this planet and we need to devise ways to save humanity’s connection to nature in the next generation.
Filmed in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and the USA, NATUREPLAY portrays the Nordic Model of teaching, living and enjoying nature, juxtaposed with the high stakes/high stress edu culture of "rigor".
Featuring Forest Kindergartens, Loose Parts, Adventure Playgrounds, Natural Playscapes, Outdoor Free Play, and Risky Play concepts the focus of the film is the Scandinavian method of "Udeskole" learning outdoors and the cultural attitudes of "Friluftsliv" fresh air life behind it all.

The most important thing we can give a child is a Right to a Good Childhood free of abuse, full of joy and play, while being supported by developmentally appropriate practice in education and policy making.

Share this thought provoking subject matter with your community. Consider adding NaturePlay Film to your programing or hosting a screening series.
