Urban Environmental Education M.A.Ed

Learning

The Antioch University Seattle Masters program offers a robust approach to advancing environmental leadership and education that focuses on cosmopolitan assets and the diverse voices of the people who live there.   Three strands of academic study include:  Cultural Fluency and Multicultural EE Strategies, Urban Ecology and  Planning for Sustainability, Community Engagement and Collective Action. The five-quarter M.A.Ed. in Urban Environmental Education dives deep into new approaches to environmental education with a focus on urban systems and social justice. The city becomes a rich setting for place-based outdoor and environmental educational approaches that are culturally responsive and relevant to those who live there and the environments they experience.
