Overview:
Schedule: April – October
Responsibilities:
Educators will teach and support farm-based wilderness programs for highly motivated students ages 9-19 including:
- Whitewater canoe (kayak and raft) expeditions
- Open water and ocean expeditions
- Multi-element expeditions, including woods and wild-crafting skills
- Farm-based programs
- Programs within Kroka's seven adventure schools (introductory, rock climbing and caving, whitewater paddling, open water, mountain biking, wilderness skills, rite of passage)

Qualifications:
- Love of teaching and mentoring children and youth: enjoy working with a wide range of ages. Documented and referenced previous teaching experience
- Wilderness expedition experience in remote environments
- Adventure sports expertiseor substantial experience and aspiration to become an expert in one of Kroka's adventure sports (such as whitewater paddling, rock climbing, caving, mountaineering, back-country skiing, biking, cycling, or another adventure sport with similar set of skills.)
- Professional certifications: drivers license with clean record and experience driving trailers.
- Commitment to personal fitness: working at Kroka is physically demanding and requires a high level of fitness and excellent work ethic. You will be expected to wake early for shared work on the farm and participate joyously in the strenuous work of living close to the Earth. You will cook meals over the fire, lift canoes, set climbs on mountainsides and navigate challenging overland routes.
- Commitment to ecologically conscious living and simplified personal needs. Experience living and working in community.
Professional certifications and education:
- College degree and/or equivalent life experience
- Wilderness First Responder
The following qualifications and skills are a plus, but not required:
- Personal artistic skills: strong singing voice, handiwork skills, visual and performing arts experience
- International/cultural diversity: experience living, working, and traveling in other countries and cultures.
