Responsibilities:

Lead children in outdoor exploration with hands-on investigation, active movement and play, songs, games, stories and projects. Provide support to the Lead Teacher naturalist and teach a group of 6-8 year olds on your own. This is a part-time position from 8:30am-1:00pm daily, with opportunities for extended day from 1:00-3:00pm. Compensation is $13/hour. 

This position requires a weekly commitment starting in June and ending in August. Our Summer 2017 camp season is June 5th - September 1st. There is potential for teaching opportunities during our February Vacation program (February 21st - 24th) and our April Vacation program (April 18th - 21st).

Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience with 2-5 year olds and/or K-2nd graders 
• Experience in outdoor education and/or degree in the natural sciences a plus 
• Dependable, responsible and organized 
• Fun-loving, creative and engaging
