Westbrook Nature School is seeking a part-time assistant for our Mixed-Age Kindergarten Class, ages 3 to 6, for the 2020-21 school year. Ideal candidates must love both children and nature, have a talent for outdoor work, everyday in all kinds of weather. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, energetic, fit and strong, who brings warmth and joy to their work with young children. Please note that teachers need to be prepared to be outside all morning in sunshine, rain, snow, wind, and muddy conditions. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and assist in all aspects of daily activities including snack preparation and classroom maintenance. Candidates should have a strong interest to continue learning about child development and the natural world. This position is 5 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
