This is your opportunity to join a dynamic Education team at Woodland Park Zoo. Applications are now being accepted for Science Education Outreach Instructor in the Science & Conservation Education department. There is one part-time, temporary, non-benefited position to be filled at this time. The pay rate is $14 per hour.
The Science Education Outreach Instructor is responsible for instructing out-of-school-time science outreach programs for school-aged audiences. Program goals include fostering an interest in science, building science literacy, and engaging school-aged audiences with Woodland Park Zoo in conservation stewardship. The successful candidate will have a combination of experience and/or academic background in informal/out-of-school time science education, formal science education for K-12 audiences, outdoor/environmental education, and education with diverse audiences of middle school-aged youth.
This position is responsible for driving program participants in a twelve passenger rental van. In order to adhere to rental agency policies, we can only consider candidates for this position who are at least twenty five years old and possess an acceptable driving record.
