Do you love to work outside, have a sense of humor, enjoy working with children, and know how to play and have fun? Come join us from now until May 14 in the sunny Carolinas as an Instructor with YMCA Camp Thunderbird!

Instructors will have the opportunity to teach over 24 classes ranging in topics from aquatic, forest and wildlife ecology to astronomy, canoeing, compass and high/low ropes challenge. You will also lead meals and recreational evening programs as well as assist in curriculum development, conservation projects and staff training. There are also opportunities to become a high ropes head facilitator. Instructors earn $262/week with benefits that include staff housing (shared living space, kitchen and laundry), meals, complimentary Charlotte YMCA membership, and first aid and lifeguard certification. Required weekend work 1 weekend per month at a rate of $9/hr. Applicants must possess a BS/BA in environmental education, biology, education, outdoor education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
