Full time placements work 40 hours per week and receive a living stipend of $1181/month plus an educational stipend of $5775. Half time placements will work 20-25 hours per week and receive a living stipend of $590/month plus an educational stipend of $2887.
Full Time Placements
- The AmeriCorps Cooking With Kids Educator will facilitate hands-on food and nutrition education activities, enabling pre-kindergarten through 6th grade students to explore, prepare, and enjoy fresh, affordable foods.
- The St. Elizabeth's Shelter Client Advocate will coordinate and support the shelter's programs and activities by developing a nutrition education program, supervising the shelter and maintaining the rules, referring clients to outside services and working on special projects throughout the year to assist the shelter and the member's professional development.
- The Garden & Sustainability Education Program Assistant is responsible for supporting Earth Care's school garden and sustainability education programming offered through partnerships with Monte Del Sol Charter School, Santa Fe Public Schools, and the City of Santa Fe. This position will be focused on supporting garden & sustainability programming throughout the Santa Fe Public School District through the coordination of school garden interns, sustainability outreach curriculum, and national youth service days.
Half Time
- The Healthy CENA Program Coordinator at La Familia works with pediatric patients identified as obese or overweight and OB patients with gestational diabetes to empower them to set goals and make positive changes to live healthier lives. CENA, which means "dinner" in Spanish, stands for comunidad, ejercicio, nutrición, acción (community, exercise, nutrition, action). The program uses a family-based approach to promote healthy lifestyle changes focusing on diet and exercise.
