Overview:
MOSS’s Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting efficient and effective office infrastructure to ensure MOSS programs continue running at an optimal level. This position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, creativity, strong people skills, and a commitment to the organization. Working in collaboration with a dedicated staff, committed board, and community partners, the Operations Coordinator oversees much of the day-to-day office operations of MOSS.
Primary Job Duties
Office Logistics (30%)
- Manage office supply budget
- Keep office supplies stocked
- Answer phones and check messages daily
- Complete errand runs weekly or as needed – coordinate with other staff for supply list
- Oversee office cleaning and tidying
Online Engagement (30%)
- Oversee all website (Squarespace) and social media content (Facebook and Instagram through Hootsuite)
- Set strategy to mobilize online supporters and increase digital engagement
- Manage online newsletter platform Constant Contact Donor Relations (25%)
- Manage Little Green Light donor management software and database
- Execute donation thank you process including tax donation slips, thank you letters, thank you calls, etc Volunteer Coordination (10%)
- Recruit and oversee volunteers (15 vols throughout year)
Fleet Management (5%)
- Coordinate all MOSS fleet maintenance
- Maintain information pertaining to vehicle registration (non-profit vehicle registration status), mileage, etc

Qualifications: Required
- Enthusiasm for MOSS’s mission, values, goals, and culture
- Ability to set and implement priorities and manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated organizational skills – must be detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience, including strong e-mail writing skills, social media writing skills, and an ability to write marketing text
- Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills; versatility to interact professionally and in a positive and professional manner with the public and staff at all levels of the organization, including staff, board members, volunteers, partners, and donors
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion
- Extensive computer experience including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, e-mail, and social media platforms
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment while giving and receiving feedback
Preferred
- Experience with non-profit or similar work environment
- Past experience as Administrator or similar
- Experience with Constant Contact, Little Green Light, Squarespace, Hootsuite, and/or Active registration software
- Experience with donor relations
Compensation and Benefits: This position is paid at an hourly rate of $16/hr.
