Background Information:

The School of Natural Resources and Environment (http://snre.ifas.ufl.edu/) offers university-wide, interdisciplinary degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level that prepare students to understand the complex issues related to environment and socio-economic stability. Through its interdisciplinary educational programs, the School of Natural Resources and Environment will provide tomorrow's scientists, natural resource managers, and societal leaders with the training (acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies) needed to effectively address the enormous environmental challenges facing future society. The School of Natural Resources and Environment is comprised of more than 300 affiliated faculty members, more than 100 graduate students and a like number of undergraduate majors.

Qualifications

Required:

A doctorate (foreign equivalent acceptable) in biology, ecology, environmental science, environmental engineering sciences, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates must have five or more years of demonstrable teaching experience in the environmental science arena at an accredited University. Candidates will have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication and interpersonal relationships. Candidates must be supportive of the mission of the Land-Grant system.  Candidates must also have a commitment to IFAS core values of excellence, diversity, global involvement, and accountability. 

Preferred:

Postdoctoral teaching experience is desirable. Experience and interest with online teaching and familiarity with distance education delivery tools/strategies is preferred.
