We are an environmental nonprofit building leaders to drive sustainability solutions. For over 20 years, Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI) has partnered with schools, communities, and businesses to develop a sustainability leadership pathway from elementary school to early career. Our flagship programs educate and empower students and emerging professionals to create thriving, resilient communities.
We are looking for a Grants and Development Manager to lead our development efforts and align them with SEI’s growth strategy. This important role will be responsible for providing critical resources and helping inform the strategic direction for our mission-driven agency.
Who you are
You demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and superb communication skills, and you know how to identify and support business development cycles from start to finish to raise critical funds. You are eager to work in an environmental nonprofit focused on environmental leadership, and are committed to equity and environmental justice.
What you'll offer
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience preferred in grant/ proposal writing, lead generation, and partner/ business development. State and federal level grant experience or familiarity with large-scale, multi-year projects is preferred, particularly in developing logic models, work plans, and detailed governance structures.
- Strategy and project management experience. Proven track record of managing multiple initiatives and programs successfully, with the ability to prioritize and de-prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Experience and agility with networking, partnership development/relationship building, public speaking, and group presentations.
- Clear, direct, and succinct writer. Writing skills that support transforming a programmatic vision into a concise and compelling narrative.
- Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the organization’s mission and values

- Starting salary of $78,000/annual
