Camp dates and Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with optional extended day hours available.

Mandatory training dates are June 8 - June 19 and camp dates are June 22 – August 21. 

Camp staff must be fully available for these dates! There will be a break from July 6 – July 10. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engaging children in the daily camp activities including animal handling, project-based STEM activities, garden harvesting, and more while maintaining a safe environment
• Serve as a role model and maintain a positive, outgoing attitude throughout the camp days
• Encourage campers to try new activities and gain new skills and provide support and guidance while doing so
• Communicate effectively with campers, co-workers, and camp coordinator to maintain a smooth camp experience for all
• Utilize time management and prioritizing skills to maintain a structured schedule for campers

What are we looking for?

• Current college students and/or college graduates; background in animal or agricultural science, education, veterinary science 
• Experience working with children, especially K-6th grade children
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Able to be physically active and on your feet for most of an 8-hour workday in various weather conditions
• A positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm for the program and camp philosophy
• Strong interest in leading agriculture, nature, and science-based activities
• Preferred prior knowledge and understanding of food allergies 
• Prior knowledge of agriculture and sustainable farming, animal handling, or project-based learning is preferred
