The Assistant Director forms the backbones of the Expedition program experience, and work tirelessly in order to create a program that serves our 3 Bottom Lines: Safety First, Stellar Programs, and Happy Staff.  We want an Assistant Director that can:

The CORE Responsibilities of an Assistant Director:

Safety First

• Oversee safety & risk management components of all program operations
• Aid in resolving concerns to ensure physical and emotional safety for all campers and staff

Stellar Programs

• Practice servant leadership for the teams that you directly support
• Take pride in the facets of the camp that you oversee

Passionate Staff

• Get out into programs to interact with kids and staff in the field
• Share gratitude, listen always, and deliver an incredibly high level of communication

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 21 years of age and a sincere passion for working with kids
• 2+ years of experience leading multi-day expeditions
• Significant personal or teaching experience in one of the following sports: climbing, mountain biking, paddling, backpacking
• Camp leadership and aptitude for technology (Google Suite, etc) strongly preferred
• Wilderness First Responder and CPR prior to the start of camp

Important Dates:

• Staff training: Spring Camp Leadership weekend in Colorado & full staff training begins in early June
• Program Dates: June 16- August 11
