Overview:
Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College seeks applications for a full-time position with combined roles as an environmental educator and public program coordinator to begin by July 1, 2016. As a member of the environmental education outreach team at Merry Lea, the person in assists with delivering environmental education programs to PreK-12 and general public audiences. Roles include scheduling programs, arranging for program logistics, and serving as an environmental educator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, environmental education, biology, natural resources, education, or related field is required.
- Background or experience in the following areas will be advantageous: environmental education and/or teaching experience, certification in education, training in safety and first aid, good administrative skills, effective speaking and writing skills, good skills in public relations, competencies with computers, audiovisual, office, and general environmental education equipment.
- Candidates must be committed to the mission and core values of Goshen College.

- Passion for high quality environmental education. Commitment to build and work collaboratively with a team. Ability to plan, delegate, and organize multiple work tasks. Self-motivated with good time-management practices. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
