Overview:

The Coordinator conducts activities directly with students during the indoor time at the Refuge's Environmental Education Center. They also explore Refuge trails with student to provide information and conduct outdoor activities. The Coordinator recruits, trains, and coordinates environmental education program volunteers. The Coordinator plans and implements four teacher workshops. The Coordinator will review and evaluate current education center activities and will adapt activities for different grade levels and state standards The Coordinator will assist in special events like the annual Nisqually Watershed Festival. The Coordinator will serve alongside watershed partners to provide specialized environmental education programming for under-served students in the Nisqually and Chehalis Watersheds.
