Camp dates and Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 1:30 pm with potential for additional hours available.

Mandatory training dates are June 15 - June 19 and camp dates are June 22 – August 19. 

Camp staff must be available for these dates! There will be a break from July 6 – July 10. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engaging children in the daily camp activities including animal interactions, farm activities, garden harvesting, and more while maintaining a safe environment
• Serve as a role model and maintain a positive, outgoing attitude throughout the camp days
• Encourage campers to try new activities and gain new skills and provide support and guidance while doing so
• Communicate effectively with campers, co-workers, and camp coordinator to maintain a positive camp experience for all

What are we looking for?

• Current college students and/or college graduates 
• Background in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Education, Veterinary Science is preferred
• Experience working with children, especially preschool-K age children
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Able to be physically active and on your feet for the 5-hour workday in various weather conditions
• A positive can-do attitude and enthusiasm for the program and camp philosophy
• Strong interest in leading agriculture and nature-based activities
• Preferred prior knowledge and understanding of food allergies 
• Prior knowledge of agriculture and sustainable farming, animal handling, or project-based learning is preferred

Rate of Pay: Negotiable
