Overview:
Engages visitors in daily activities typical of a mid-19th century, middle class farm in Western Tennessee. Designs and presents specific programs intended to convey environmental messages in a historic context. Adapts messages and programs to a wide range of audiences. Demonstrates historic skills. Research and special projects may be assigned as appropriate. Support the overall LBL environmental education program by presenting programs/assisting with activities at other facilities and presenting programs at sites outside of the recreation area.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education, Recreation, History, or related fields, and not be currently enrolled in school.
Warm enthusiastic demeanor that is quality customer service driven.
Interest in engaging visitors with a focus on making their experience fun.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Availability for weekend, holiday, and evening work.
Valid driver’s license.
12 month Apprentice position with fully furnished onsite housing and $200/week stipend.
