Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC), based in Steamboat Springs, Colorado has many open leadership positions for our Conservation Corps Crews and Youth Corps Crews for spring-fall 2022! RMYC educates, empowers, and employs youth and young adults to serve on conservation projects throughout Northwest Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. 

Crew Leaders(CL) and Assistant Crew Leaders(ACL) supervise a crew of 8-10 people at worksites and at camp during their time at RMYC. They will work alongside federal and state land management agencies to receive a diverse understanding of conservation work and a variety of hard and soft skills that will help them succeed in a conservation-based career.

All leadership positions participate in 5 weeks of in-depth outdoor leadership training complete with a Positive Development Training and Wilderness First Response or Wilderness First Aid certificate. They will also receive a biweekly stipend, an AmeriCorps Education Award on completion of their job, a $40/month cell phone reimbursement, food, and it does not require housing.
