Researchers at Duke's Nicholas School of the Environment are helping NAAEE compile and create research summaries and syntheses for an online database to be housed on eePRO, an exciting project conducted jointly with the Children and Nature Network with funding from the Pisces Foundation. Working with inner city youth and many schools I find that it is impossible to teach environment to children that have not been introduced to nature. Until they are aware of the homes of animals, insects, birds they cannot relate to saving them.
