NAAEE works with countries around the globe to collaborate and share resources and best practices on a variety of environmental education topics—from climate change to national EE policy. We have worked with Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and others to advance the goals of environmental education globally. By working together, we can leverage the unique strengths of each country and help each other address pressing environmental challenges through environmental education. To learn more about these partnerships and the various ways we collaborate to mobilize support, visit our International Partners page.

NAAEE's signature international collaboration is through the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP), a global network committed to advancing environmental literacy to create a more just and sustainable future through education.

The GEEP is comprised of environmental education policymakers, providers, and practitioners who represent government and/or nongovernmental sectors in countries throughout the world. The GEEP was launched by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration, and the North American Association for Environmental Education in 2014.

The mission of the GEEP is to provide a vibrant learning network designed to build capacity in member countries to strengthen and institutionalize environmental education, focusing on policy, professional development, evaluation, and best practices.

The goal of the GEEP is to strengthen environmental education around the world by building capacity and focusing on collaboration, sharing best practices, and networking opportunities. Key focus areas include policy, environmental education guidelines to drive excellence, climate change education, and professional development.

To date, more than 25 countries have participated in the GEEP activities. Find out more about the GEEP and how you can get involved at www.thegeep.org.
