Welcome to eeLEARN, a series of online modules for environmental educators. In this module we will explore the connection between environmental education and civic engagement. We start with the definition of civic engagement as it relates to EE. We’ll then look at how getting involved in local civic life can and has shaped environmental action, and finally, we’ll dig into case studies and conversations that illustrate the opportunities and challenges of civic engagement.
