My Environmental Education Resource Assistant (MEERA)
Website:
MEERA (http://meera.snre.umich.edu/) provides free guidance and resources for evaluating environmental education programs. MEERA includes step-by-step advice for planning and completing evaluations, profiles of sample environmental education program evaluations, advice on a range of evaluation topics including how to find and work with evaluators, a glossary, and links to other environmental education evaluation resources. MEERA incorporates resources for those new to evaluation as well as for intermediate and experienced evaluators. An evaluation of MEERA showed that environmental educators with no evaluation experience can successfully use it to evaluate their programs (Zint et al., 2010). The site has had over 750,000 users from almost all countries across the world. MEERA was created under the leadership of Dr. Michaela Zint, in collaboration with environmental educators, evaluators, and University of Michigan students, and with support from the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, USDA Forest Service, and eeCapacity, among others.
