Jennifer E. Jones, PhD, RPA is a graduate of the Coastal Resources Management doctoral program at East Carolina University (ECU) where she examined the interdisciplinary challenges to cultural resource management in the coastal zones. She also received her MA in Maritime Studies from ECU and has worked on field sites along the Eastern Seaboard, as well as in Sweden and Namibia. She holds the position of Social Media Liaison on the Society for Historical Archaeology’s Heritage at Risk Committee. She is also a recipient of a 2020-2021 Fulbright US Scholar Award for geosciences and coastal archaeology where she will be working with the Geological Survey of Ireland, the CHERISH project, and the National University of Ireland at Galway. Her professional interests also include environmental histories, the archaeology of whaling, GIS, archaeology in film, and law and policy.

Sara Ayers-Rigsby, MA, RPA Sara Ayers-Rigsby is the Regional Director for the Southeast and Southwest Centers of the Florida Public Archaeology Network hosted by Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.  She received her MA from the University of Bristol, UK, where she focused on media representation and contemporary archaeology. She received her BA from Trinity College, Dublin.  Prior to her role at FPAN, she supervised field projects at sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast as a principal investigator for a nationwide CRM firm, where she also worked to enhance public archaeology and CRM. She is the co-chair for the Society for the Historical Archaeology’s Public Education and Interpretation Committee, as well as a board member for the Florida Archaeology Council and serves on the Committee on Climate Change Strategies and Archaeological Resources for the Society for American Archaeology.
