Overview:
Overview: Watch the Green Grow Coordinator (WTGG Coordinator) is responsible for leading the Watch the Green Grow (WTGG) outreach program to Homeowners Associations and other community groups in Fairfax County and for leading the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEE) program for 4th and 5th grade students at Fairfax County elementary schools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision and administration: The WTGG Coordinator leads a small team of roving interpreters and volunteer naturalists to educate children and adults about nature and environmentally friendly yard care. The WTGG Coordinator trains and coordinates part-time staff and volunteers. The WTGG Coordinator also leads the elementary school MWEE program, which involves training and scheduling staff and volunteer educators, and scheduling the MWEE program at schools. WTGG coordinator manages the WTGG data collection app including public submissions and reporting.
Education and Outreach: The WTGG Coordinator may give presentations to community groups in person or virtually and plan community engagement events such as neighborhood eco festivals or citizen science events. Coordinator is responsible for teaching the MWEE program at various schools across Fairfax County in the fall and spring with the team. The WTGG Coordinator may write educational materials or develop educational pro-grams. The WTGG Coordinator works with the RMD brand manager to spread the word on park friendly resident behaviors.
Fiscal Management: The WTGG Coordinator manages the grant budgets for the WTGG and MWEE programs and writes grant proposals.
Note: *This position is scheduled to work a minimum 1,040 hours and no more than a maximum of 1,560 hours in a calendar year. This position is eligible to receive limited benefits, including: Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance Coverage, Flexible Spending Program, and Deferred Compensation.

Necessary Special Requirements:
