Overview:

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Craft compelling communications to members and other stakeholders through blog posts, press releases, and email communications.
  • Coordinate the outreach and publicity of KAEE programs and events.
  • Advance strategies to support the ongoing growth and engagement of KAEE’s membership.
  • Manage websites, LISTSERVs, membership and donor databases, and social networking sites.
  • Coordinate KAEE’s annual awards program.
  • Oversee disbursement forms and receipt tracking for the organization.
  • Engage in pre-approved professional development opportunities that will enhance leadership, management, or other skill areas.

Minimum Requirements: Passion for the mission of the organization. Experience working with diverse audiences. Compelling storyteller with exceptional spelling, grammar, typing, organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well remotely and as part of a team. Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of Google suite or an ability to pick up new programs easily. Experience and proficiency in the use of databases, websites, and social media. A background or experience in education, communications, administration, journalism, public relations, business, or a natural resource-related field is preferred but not required. Some nights, weekends and travel will be required.

Salary: $32,000

Compensation and Benefits: This is a fulltime, exempt position working 40 hours per week. We believe in work-life balance and a flexible, family-friendly schedule and therefore offer compensatory time up to 120 hours for additional hours worked, 10 days of vacation time, 12 days of sick leave, and 12.5 paid holidays per year. This is a work from home position, although travel to meetings will be required.

Applicant must reside in Kentucky. Reimbursement will be given for costs incurred during work-related travel.

Note: We are willing to consider hiring for less hours at the same hourly rate (benefits will differ).
